Employment
Requirements
- Must be a citizen of the United States
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be of good character, as determined by
a thorough background investigation
- Must not have committed, or been convicted
of, a felony offense
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
and have a good driving record
- Must be proportionate in height and weight
- Must pass a physical examination and drug
screening
- Must be suitable for law enforcement as determined
by a psychological evaluation
- Must be a high school graduate or have attained
a GED certificate
- College preferred, but not required
- Educational background in law enforcement
and/or law enforcement experience preferred
